The comedy has been an integral part of classic Hindi movies. More than 90% of the Hindi movies have comedy elements and some of the classic Hindi cinemas are totally based on comedy only. In fifties and sixties a few movies were devoted to comedy , however a good number of movies were made in mid and late seventies. There are some movies in which comedy scenes were totally unrelated to the main story of the movie like " JUDAI" starring Anil Kapoor and Sridevi wherein Johny Lever and Upasana Singh gained a lot of traction for comedy scenes (ABBA DABBA JABBA) however they were totally unrelated to movies scenses. But the quality of comedy was so good that people ignored this flaw. Similarly, in case of "Run" starring Abhishek Bacchan and Bhumika Chawla, comedy scenes with Vijay Raj were totally irrelevant but important to note that such comedy scenes proved to be iconic and very popular in modern Hindi Cinemas.
